CRITICAL ACCLAIM FOR THE CD THAT LAUNCHED A LABEL AND A CULTURE OF ITS OWN!
"This is music for art's sake, fearlessly plundering your well-worn notions of melody. From lush, haunting vocal spirituals (darinka blagaj) to in-your-face lo-fi electronic gadgetry (Philter), these artists offer up a looking glass view of late 20th-century cosmopolite. The disc is a melange of traditional and non-traditional sounds, providing a sort of Internet tour of the audio arts. Still, despite the obvious disparity in styles, the groups come together in a charming co-op setting. Imagine yourself at the hippest cocktail party of all time. Whether you want to sit everyone in a communal circle or spend a few moments with each individually is up to you. Both will leave your ears satisfied." - Kevin Press, Impact
"Lately, independently produced compilations are sprouting up like weeds across Canada, with the intent to assist in the launch of upstart labels and to help provide exposure for new bands. Few collections, however, have a focus that aspires beyond awareness-raising and into the realm of art like Irrevocable UPGRADE ...this collection makes a clear statement of intent to present exploratory, unconstrained music."
- Ian Danzig, EXCLAIM

A NOTE FROM THE PREZ:
Here is a collection of works by pioneers in musical spaces of distinct natures. Each of these is a 'polaroid' of motion. Re-presenting a disruptive possibility, a dense alternate reality, their diversity and disregard for convention the only uniting silver bond. Here are strong incentives for a shift in the focus of popular musical culture coupled by the confidence and numbers of experimental rather than 'Alternative TM ' artists. Unravel your first person vision, and a new schematic will begin to make itself apparent.
CONSTANT CHANGE productions seeks to pressure the flow of our communicative evolution/discourse by receiving without predisposition these moments and channeling them on...to you.
No thing will ever be the same.

Charlie Roby
The sound of the Murli, a two-barrel pipe, was added to this track to weave a magical and mysterious element. "Akbar" is taken from a recording done late one night in the Thar desert on the outskirts of Rajasthan, February 14th, 1991. The track was remixed for this collection.
